Basic Leadership & Age Level Training
Training Up for
the Next Age Level & BLT
Tuesday, June 5, 9 a.m. - noon
Ashland Service Center
Cost is $5.00 per adult, for lunch. Send fee with registration. Please make
check(s) payable to GSWRC.
Bring a notepad, pencil, and Leader Notebook.
Please register with the Ashland Service Center by June 1. Minimum 3, per age
level – maximum 10, per age level. Please specify which age level when
registering. Get a head start for the fall. Take the next age level so that you
will be ready for your girls in the fall.
Enrichment Trainings
History of Girl Scouts Training
Saturday, April 7, 1 – 4 p.m.
Morehead State University, Morehead
Cost is $6.00 per adult. Send fee with registration. Please make check(s)
payable to Area 5 Girl Program Account.
Bring a sack lunch.
Please register with the Morehead Girl Scout office by March 30. Minimum 10 –
maximum 30. Learn about the History of Girl Scouting and how the Girl Scouts
have changed over the years. Learn fun information and fun activities to take
back to your troop.
Flags and SWAPS
Wednesday, April 11, 6 – 8 p.m.
Floyd County Library, Prestonsburg
Cost is $5.00 per adult. Send fee with registration. Please make check(s)
payable to Pikeville Girl Program.
Please bring scissors and a glue gun.
Please register with the Pikeville Girl Scout office by April 4. Minimum 6 –
maximum 25. A great workshop! You’ll leave knowing some fabulous flag ceremonies
to use in your troop, and ten different SWAP ideas.
Nature Crafts, Games and Fun
Thursday, April 26, 6 – 8 p.m.
London Service Center
Cost is $1.00 per person. Send fee with registration. Please make check(s)
payable to GSWRC-London Girl Program.
Please register with the London Service Center by April 12. Minimum 8 – maximum
20. Make funny, fuzzy owls and beautiful note cards using natural materials.
Learn to play games designed to increase awareness of the outdoors. Explore
basic outdoor skills such as knot tying. Outdoor resources available for
check-out. Leaders may bring their registered Girl Scout daughters. A fun
training for new leaders and those who prefer “troop Beverly Hills” outdoor
activities.

maximum 20. Are you interested in assisting in the Council’s Adventure Program?
This is a basic training for girls and adults ages 16 years and up that would
like to help run the climbing towers and other adventure elements. You will
learn about the Council’s adventure program, safety issues, and belay techniques
and upcoming opportunities to use your skills.
