TLC
Girl Scouts-Wilderness Road Council's Teen Leadership Council (TLC) is a "for girls, by girls" group of teen Scouts who are ready to take action! With representatives from each cluster, girls have the opportunity to train, implement program, and address teen issues on a Council-wide level. TLC impacts girls and Council policy. As part of TLC, we strive to impact and empower those around us through growth, knowledge and training. While building our leadership skills, we build up each other through personal growth and development. As teen Girl Scouts, there are many opportunities for us.
TLC is a separate leadership opportunity from your current troop or individual Girl Scouting. This is an opportunity to step up your leadership skills and help build the future of Girl Scouting in Kentucky. You will be expected to attend a monthly meeting that may be in different parts of your area, so you will need transportation to the meetings. In addition to the monthly meetings, your TLC will be expected to create events and activities for girls in your area, help enhance the image of teen Girl Scouts, participate in the annual cookie sales and promote Girl Scout membership. If you would like to take the challenge and apply to be a TLC member download the application below and send it Sherri Thomas at the Lexington Service Center. Deadline for applications is September 15th. All applications will be reviewed and considered. You will be notified by letter on the status of your application. Applications will be accepted August 1-September 15th. If you aren’t interested in being on the TLC but would like to receive information about upcoming events for teen Girl Scouts, please signup for Girl Scout E-News below, it’s free.
